Bookstore Return Policy

Customers can complete returns at any Madison College campus within the return period specified for that item. If you cannot complete your return in-store, you may send the return, with the original packing slip/receipt, to:

In most cases, returns are made in the original form of payment.

Online orders of textbooks and merchandise not picked up within 15 days* from the order date will be refunded.

Course Material Returns

Customers can receive refunds for purchased (non-rental) course materials within 15 days from the date of purchase or start of class if:

  • You have a receipt (paper, electronic or the packing list).
  • Items are in original purchase condition (clean, no marks/writing or damage).
  • Software, CDs, access codes, and electronic merchandise are intact and unopened.
  • Shrink-wrapped or packaged items contain all pieces.

Other Merchandise Returns and Exchanges

Customers can return (or exchange based on availability) non-course material purchases within 30 days of the purchase date if:

  • You have a receipt (paper, electronic or the packing list).
  • Items are in original purchase condition (no damage).
  • Software, CDs, and electronic merchandise are intact and unopened.
  • Shrink-wrapped or packaged items contain all pieces.
  • Clothing tags are intact.

**Clearance items are non-returnable.

Defective Items

A refund or exchange may be issued at the discretion of the bookstore for defective, non-warranty items.

If your item has a manufacturer’s warranty, contact the manufacturer directly for replacement or refund.
